GREEN INITIATIVE
Green Practices Implemented by The Carothers Building
Because the environmental impacts of building design, construction and operations are significant, the Carothers Building is committed to finding and implementing best practices that will mitigate such effects. Properly implemented, Green operational and management practices can substantially reduce or eliminate negative environmental impacts while reducing operating costs, enhancing building marketability, and increasing worker productivity. In pursuit of this commitment, the Carothers Building is dedicated to an ongoing process of identifying, evaluating and implementing a wide array of innovative and effective green building operation and management principles throughout its enterprise. We are fully committed to becoming a green company, encouraging all of our team member’s to do the same, both on a corporate level and personal level.
In May of 2011, The Carothers Building successfully achieved the Silver LEED Existing Building Level of certification established by the U.S. Green Building Council in the LEED Green Building Rating System and verified by the Green Building Certification Institute, for existing building Operations and Maintenance.
